DM (Dynamic Motion) Golf Performance is Calgary’s premier Golf Fitness Coaching Company. DM Golf Performance operates out of the Golf Canada Health and Performance Centre, a non-member facility that allows DM Golf Performance Coaches to provide the highest quality, advanced golf fitness and movement coaching to its clients.
Mission: It is DM Golf Performance’s mission to improve golfers function and performance through the highest quality, advanced golf fitness and movement coaching. 
Philosophy: Dynamic Motion believes that function is the stepping-stone to great performance. Developing quality movement patterns and optimal mobility and stability will promote the greatest athletic potential.  Once a solid foundation has been established the golf athlete will progress through strength, power and speed training to ensure the greatest potential is reached.

Meet Our Team

Shannon Heffernan (Mantrop)                                                       

Shannon is a Golf Fitness and Performance Expert and is the founder of DM (Dynamic Motion) Golf Performance. Shannon has a Master's degree in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary and is a Certified Exercise Physiologist.  Shannon is also a Class "A" PGA of Canada Teaching Professional and is a TPI-3 Golf Fitness Coach and TPI-3 Golf Instructor.   It is by combining her knowledge of the body and the golf swing that allowed her to build a company that provides the highest quality golf fitness coaching available.  

As the Head Golf Fitness Coach for the Golf Canada Strive for Excellence Junior Performance Program, Shannon hopes DM Golf Performance can make an impact on Junior Golf in Calgary.  Shannon also works with golfers of all levels ranging from Touring Professionals to the senior golfer that wants to improve their game.

Sandy Cozens                                                                                       

Sandy is a Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Level 2 Certified Golf Fitness and Movement Coach with DM Golf Performance.  Sandy will also be completing her TPI Level 3 Golf Fitness course in May of this year. Sandy has her diploma from the American Council on Exercise and has been involved in athletics and coaching throughout her life both as a coach and an athlete.   After picking up the game later in life, Sandy was able to achieve a single digit handicap after only playing the game for 8 years. 
With her passion for movement, fitness and golf, Sandy strives to help golfers of all skill levels improve both their function and their performance.  Sandy's unique knowledge and understanding of the body and of the golf swing allows her to develop individualized golf specific programs to help her clients meet their potential.

Scott Lahey                                                                                          

Scott is a Kinesiology graduate from the University of Calgary as well as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). He is a TPI certified golf fitness coach and is a Junior Golf Fitness Coach with DM Golf Performance.  Scott is the Assistant Golf Fitness Coach of the Strive For Excellence program as well as other Junior Golf Fitness Programs with DM Golf Performance.

Scott holds additional certifications in the Functional Movement Screen (FMS level 2), Precision Nutrition System, Intrinsic Coaching, HBDI (Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument), and MBTI (Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) all of which he leverages to bring out the best attitude and performance in his clients/athletes. Scott has worked with numerous volleyball, beach volleyball, and soccer teams and programs, as well as individual golf, tennis, and multi-sport athletes.  Scott's ability to identify and correct faulty movement patterns or muscle/movement impairments can greatly help the junior golfer move and perform better.
